Nick Fabbri and Terysa Vanderloo from Sailing Yacht Ruby Rose have spent almost 12 months reviewing cruising catamarans currently on the market. Along with the help of their followers, they have come up with a final list of the top 10 cruising catamarans of 2020. We are super proud to announce that 5 of the top 10 are built in South Africa!
The SA-built boats that placed in the top 10 are:
Qsquisite X5 – 2nd place
Balance 526 (Nexus Yachts) – 3rd place
Knysna 500SE – 4th place
St. Francis 50 – 8th place
Leopard 45 – 9th place
How did they get the results?:
5,000 independent, public votes were received, followers could vote using a dedicated app. They themselves reviewed 19 catamarans while attending 3 boat shows. It was essential to ensure that there was absolutely no dealer bias involved, and after that was done – the results were calculated.
